Both of these “lady groups” are missions minded.
Our Ladies Missionary Circle at First Baptist Church is a group of dedicated women who have a desire to help our missionaries. Missionaries have a burden to win souls to Christ, and travel to many countries to achieve what God has put on their hearts to do. The goal of the Ladies Missionary Circle is to support the missionaries in prayer. Secondly, we use our talents to sew and/or furnish items to make their lives more comfortable on the mission field. All women in the church (no matter the age) are welcome at our meetings which are held on the first Tuesday of each month, starting at 9 AM.
Dorcas Circle meets every second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. These ladies focus on reaching out to those of our church family or community who are hurting. Whether it’s organizing the Christmas tree gifts for needy individuals, providing food baskets at Thanksgiving, or reaching out with a SonShine basket to a church member, a heart for the hurting is always on display. This group also organizes Mother/Daughter banquets and Father/Son outings.
Ladies can belong to one or both groups.
